I started my career as a speaker for the National Council on Alcoholism in
the early 1980’s. Undergraduate work at
the University of Colorado was completed in Business
and English in 1978. Massage therapy certification
was achieved from the Boulder College of Massage
Therapy in 1987. I received a Masters in Counseling
Psychology from the University of Colorado in
1992. During my counseling internship at C.U.,
I worked with individuals, families, and groups
at a head injury clinic in Denver. After a three-year
program, I became certified as an Integrative
Body Psychotherapist from the Rosenberg-Kitaen
Institute of Integrative Body Psychotherapy in
1995. I became a Licensed Professional Counselor
in the State of Colorado in 1996.
Since 1992, I have been in full-time private
practice in Denver’s Larimer Square and
in Boulder, Colorado near 30th and Arapahoe. I
see individuals, couples, and families. Wanting
to protect my client’s confidentiality and
not split my loyalties with insurance companies,
I run an out-of-network, cash practice. I offer
a sliding-scale fee so that people who want therapy
can afford it, and I am not in an ethical bind
with insurance companies.
Happily, I have assisted many individuals and
couples in the Denver/Boulder area while being
out of the clutches of managed care. I trust that
a loving flexibility, resiliency, awareness, integration,
and wholeness have been uncovered and developed
for all people involved.
